The AI receptionist for Canadian small businesses
A front desk that never takes lunch. EveryRing answers your phone as your business, texts back anybody you missed, answers the chat on your website, and books the work into your calendar, nights and weekends included.
The calls you are missing
Most small businesses do not have a receptionist. The owner is the front desk, in between being the plumber, the stylist or the person running the clinic, so the phone goes to voicemail exactly when the business is busiest.
Callers rarely leave a message. They ring the next business on the list, and the job goes with them. A full-time receptionist costs more than most small operators can carry, and a human answering service usually takes a message rather than booking anything.
What it does on one of your calls
It introduces itself as your business's AI assistant, by the name you choose, and then does the work a good front desk does.
- Answers every call, including several at once. While you are on one call, the next caller reaches your assistant instead of a busy signal. In our own test, thirty calls rang one number at the same moment and every one was answered.
- Books the work, not a message. It checks which van, chair or room is actually free and holds the time in your diary or your Google Calendar. By default somebody on your team confirms it before the customer is told it is booked.
- Texts back the calls it did not get to. A missed call gets a text within seconds, and the conversation carries on by text until the job is booked.
- Answers the chat on your website too. One line pasted into your site adds a chat that knows the same things and books the same way.
- Gets you for a real emergency. On Growth and Pro, you decide what counts. It rings you, says who is calling and why, and connects them only when you accept.
What it will not do
It only says what you have told it. Your services, hours, area and any prices you choose to publish. Anything else becomes a callback on your list with the question attached, never a guess you would then have to honour.
It never pretends to be a person. It says it is an AI assistant at the start of every call and every chat, and says so plainly if asked.
It answers in English. It sends no marketing messages of any kind, to anybody, because there is no feature in the product that could: the only texts that leave are replies, confirmations and reminders for work somebody asked for. And there is no way to export your customer list, ours or anyone's. Neither is a policy we wrote down; both are things the software cannot do.
Against a human answering service
| What is being compared | A human answering service | EveryRing |
|---|---|---|
| Published rate, Canada | Commonly sold by the minute, with a setup fee | $199 to $399 a month, plus a one-time setup fee |
| At 2am | If you bought the after-hours plan | Always, at no different rate |
| What happens to the call | A message you ring back | The job booked, in your calendar, on a van that is free |
| What it knows | A script you wrote for them | The profile you published, and it refuses to guess past it |
| Your number | Often theirs, forwarded | Stays yours |
Rates for human services vary by provider and by how many minutes you buy. Compare the ones you are considering on their own published prices: ours are on the pricing page and do not change by time of day.
Questions Canadian small businesses ask
What is an AI receptionist?
Software that answers your business's phone in a natural voice, the way a front desk would: it answers questions about your business, takes the caller's details and books the appointment. EveryRing also answers texts and your website chat.
Is it the same as an answering service?
It does the same job and more of it. A traditional answering service is people taking messages, usually billed by the minute. An AI receptionist answers at any hour, takes as many calls at once as come in, and books the job rather than passing a message on.
Is it made for Canada?
Yes. It is built and run in Canada, priced in Canadian dollars, and follows Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) by design. Your records come to rest in Canada; the privacy page says which services are involved and where each one is.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your calls forward to your assistant when you do not pick up, so the number on your van and your website does not change.
What does it cost?
From $199 a month. The pricing page has what each plan includes, and the questions page has the rest.
Can I hear it first?
Yes. We will set it up with your services and hours, and you ring it yourself before deciding anything.
Hear it before you decide
The quickest way to judge this is to listen to it answer as if it were your business. We will set it up with your hours and your services and ring you.
